Coonabarabran Community Care Oztag Knockout
Wow! What a great day. On Thursday 26 July, Coonabarabran Community Care held an Oztag Knockout and information Day at No1 oval.
Oztag, blue sky, sunshine and great company, what more could one ask. A fantastic day was enjoyed by all our supported students.
The theme for the day was “inclusiveness” all our supported students participated, but some gave their all. Tina, Graham and Tabitha are to be commended for their commitment to scoring tries. We were up against some stiff competition from Tamworth, Quirindi and our very own Breakthru.
All students had a good day Sam Hough especially enjoyed the ‘Unicorn’ that Oralie Harris from RDA decorated beautifully.
All the activities provided off field and BBQ added to the day. The information stalls provided pamphlets for everyone to access. The ladies at the canteen supplied fruit BBQ sausages on a roll (“yum” Mrs Pulham had two!!) ice blocks were also available. Thank-you ladies. Mrs Rice was a little upset that she missed having a game of connect five which various groups enjoyed playing as an off field game.
A special thank you to organisers, parents and volunteers for making this day very special. We are eagerly awaiting our medals and look forward to next year’s invitation.
