Daisy! Daisy! Daisy!

DaisyCongratulations to Year 11 student Daisy Andrews who has achieved success in two prestigious writing competitions.

In the Sheila Malady Short Story Competition, conducted in conjunction with the “Shakespeare on the River Festival” in the Victorian town of Stratford, Daisy won the prize for writers under 18.  Her story, “The Man with a Voice like a River”, related to the theme of friendship, a focus of the festival this year.  Daisy’s prize was sponsored by Collins Booksellers.

In the Grenfell Henry Lawson Festival, Daisy’s story was Highly Commended in the Adult section.  This equates to equal third.  Her 1800 word creative piece will be published in an anthology in June this year.
