Coonabarabran Science and Engineering Team…On a Roll

This could almost be a decade of winning the North West Region Science and Engineering Challenge for the Coonabarabran High School Science and Engineering Team. No pressure for next year’s team. The team is still waiting to hear they have progressed to the State Championships in Newcastle.

In Narrabri, our team impressed the judges with the agility of their robotic hands, the manoeuvrability of their Mars Rover, their creative thinking and problem-solving skills developing communication systems and efficient energy transmission paths, and the ingenuity and design of their bridge, flat pack furniture and shaking tower. It was the massive team effort that got our team over the line only narrowly defeating Narrabri High School by 30 points after their massive come back in the Bridge Round (Not on our watch Narrabri).

Congratulations to the Coona team, they represented the school beautifully and embodied our Forever Dare moto. Good luck in Newcastle!
