Feast of Pi

Dear Parents/Caregivers

Feast of Pi

The annual mathematics celebration “Feast of Pi” will be held across two days, on Monday 29 July, the school will host UNSW outreach group. Then on Friday the 9 August, the UNE Discovery Bus will be making a visit.

Junior students (7-10) will be attending workshops on both days. The workshops are all held at the school. Some senior students will also be attending workshops throughout the day.

Class teachers will be letting students know more about the workshops they will be attending closer to the day.

There is no cost to students as the “Feast of Pi” has been funded through equity programs.

We are really looking forward to the day, and are sure the students will really benefit from the activities – they will provide a different aspect of mathematics in the real world.

Yours sincerely
