As we come to the end of the term it is particularly important that we take care of each other over these school holidays. This might mean talking to family and friends about the way you are feeling or any concerns you have about someone else. It might also be about spending quality time together, sharing stories, and being open and honest if you don’t think you’re doing ok.
While talking to friends and families is a great place to start, there are also some other resources you can draw on to find help and advice, including: e-headspace, Beyond Blue, Kids Helpline, Lifeline, Mental Health Line.
Keep safe over the break and if you have any concerns when you return next term, please contact the school.
The NSW Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team will be visiting Coonabarabran Community Health on Thursday 3rd and Thursday 10th October from 11am – 3pm. Appointments can be made by calling their intake service on (02) 6881400. Drop in appointments are also available during these times.
The Benevolent Society’s Rural Youth Mental Health Service also operates in Coonabarabran, they can be contacted on 0401673747. Services may be needed to build resilience after a personal crisis or traumatic event, support social and emotional wellbeing, or to build confidence and develop positive behaviours.
We look forward to seeing you in Term 4.
