COVID Update 2 November 23

Dear Parents/ Carers

Re: COVID – 19 Update

If your child is a member of the 7G class or the 7 Tec C class or travelled on the Town Bus last week, please be aware that contact tracing will likely identify them as a close contact of a positive COVID-19 case, identified today. If that becomes the case, we will contact you as soon as we are able to.

Thank you for your support.

Yours faithfully,

COVID Update 1 November 23

Dear Parents/ Carers

Re: COVID Update

You would appreciate how important it is that we have accurate contact details for you in these challenging times. In particular in the event that further contact tracing is required, current email addresses are crucial. Accordingly, if you have a current preferred email address could you please send a quick email to:

coonabarab-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au

with your child’s name and we can crosscheck and update our data accordingly.

Also, in the event that your child tests positive for COVID-19, in line with the Public Health Order can you please contact the school immediately and advise:

– the date of the test.
– the date your child became ill.

Where possible, if you are able to share a copy of the COVID-19 tests results via email, that will assist us in confirming details and speeding up the contact tracing process.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Yours faithfully

COVID Update November 21

Dear Parents and Carers,

COVID 19 Update

Contact tracing has now been completed and NSW Health advice will be communicated to students who are close and casual contacts of confirmed cases, later today. We shall forward that advice to students’ @ education email accounts as soon as it is received this afternoon.

The Dept of Education will provide more formal advice later today. In the meantime, kindly note the following:

– The school is operational tomorrow. We have been advised by the Dept that there is no need to close and deep clean the school because of the enhanced COVID-19 cleaning that has been occurring for some time, the fact that all staff are fully vaccinated, masks are mandatory indoors and many of our students are also vaccinated.

– the HSC will continue as planned at CHS

-All students from Years 7 – 11 ( who are well)  should attend school tomorrow unless they are identified by NSW Health as a close or casual contact of a confirmed case (the request for ALL year 7 and Year 10 to self-isolate in last night’s letter was a precautionary interim measure, to allow contact tracing to occur).

I appreciate this is a stressful time for our community.

Kind regards,

Mary Doolan
